Uranus, the planet of chaos and revolution – that creates sudden, unexpected and unpredictable events – just joined the list of retrograding planets creating a very rare retrograde event.

Saturn – April 18 – Sept 6, 2018
Pluto – April 22 – October 1, 2018
Neptune – June 18 – Nov 25, 2018
Mars – June 26 – August 27, 2018
Mercury – July 26 – August 19, 2018
*Uranus – August 7 – August 19, 2018

When this many planets are retrograde, this is not a time of major change, nor is it a time of growth or expansion. Instead it’s a time of:

  • Reconsideration
  • Reevaluation
  • Reassignment
  • Retrospect

The best thing to do is to go with the flow. Meditation and deep breathing may be the order of the day and even necessary. But seriously, it’s about learning to be resilient, flexible and adaptable, and learning to go with change and chaos.

Back to Uranus

While all these retrogrades create a sense of instability and frustration, we certainly  know about change when we experienced it majorly back on May 15th when Uranus entered the sign of Taurus for an 8 year stay – except when it re-enters Aries briefly on  the General Election Day in the U.S  on November 6th – so hang onto your seat belts, because this will not be the normal election process we are used to seeing – so expect major upsets. Uranus is the planet of revolution that will push for radical evolution and change, and Taurus the bull is all about tradition and will buck change at every turn creating a dichotomy between these two entities.

Uranus and Mars

All kinds of explosive events can happen  under this Uranus-Taurus event PLUS Mars Retrograde and Uranus are square to each other and this amps up the energy triggering wars, famine, food supplies, technological events, wildfires, earthquakes, floods and volcanic explosions – it’ll be just really cray-cray on Planet Earth through October 9th. The energy is so tense right now, we could see civil wars break out right after the U.S. general election. This Uranus-Taurus aspect is really the “new normal” and while it’s retrograde along with all the other retrogrades, what you can expect for sure is the sudden and unexpected, so be prepared for anything!

Breathwork and Meditation

The best thing you can do for yourself is to stay calm and practice breathing and meditate. These two modalities can play an important role in helping to calm you down through all the retrogrades and the transitions and the chaos that comes with it.
